I recently visited Western Tadka on 19th June and noticed an unfair billing issue. We ordered a 650 ml Sprite bottle, which has an MRP of ₹45 clearly printed on it. However, the restaurant charged us ₹85 for the same bottle – nearly double the price.
Charging above MRP for a packaged beverage is not just unethical, it's illegal under Indian consumer protection laws. Restaurants are not allowed to overcharge on MRP items, and this feels like a clear case of taking advantage of customers.
I hope the management takes this seriously and stops such practices. I will be raising this issue with the appropriate consumer forum if not addressed.
Disappointed with this experience. Be transparent and fair to your customers.
