Kavat Fruit / Wood-apple on banks of river Narmada

A while back we were visting The Statue of unity, on the way we ended up visiting the banks of river Narmada in Madhyapardesh (Nareshwar temple near Kevadiya dam) and the locals were selling this fruit called Kavat. After a lot of convincing from the sellers we ended up trying one, and it was great. A sort of sour, fruity taste, its similar to Tamrind but different. Definitely reccomend eating it with syrup.
